Batmitzvah

A Bat Mitzvah is the moment when a Jewish girl becomes a woman.

In a sense it is an almost literal transition from being a caterpillar to becoming a glorious butterfly. It is cause for great celebration and immense gratitude to Hashem.

The Bat Mitzvah program at Sandton Shul is co-ordinated and led by Shira Kaufman who invites the girls to explore various topics such as belief in Hashem, Mitzvot and the power of women. The studying culminates in a beautiful Bat Mitzvah ceremony in the Shul where the girls describe their learning’s in a meaningful and powerful address.

If you would like to join this incredible program please contact the Shul office on 011 8834210 and one of our friendly office staff will be glad assist you further. The Rabbis will also be happy to assist.
